Besides just getting to k. now our members as pickleball players, our Club often has special “off-court” social activities, most of which don’t get organized until February and March, when more of our members have arrived in the park.
Thanks to Greta and her wonderful assistant, Faye Deroucher, and all the many volunteers who made the Windup Social a big success – a fun party as only the Pickleball Club knows how to do! Here are some photos. In case you can’t guess, the theme was Black and White.
Thanks to Greta, our annual Christmas Social was revived! It’s a busy time of many events happening, and many people have gone home for the holidays, but those that were able to make it, had a good time I think. Some played a bit of pickleball; some played bean bag toss; some just enjoyed the food, drink and laughter.
The first social event this year was a lunch out with some of the Ladies Social Pickleball Group. Thanks to Sandy for booking us into the Wok In, and to Janet for recording the event with pictures.
Tennis-Pickleball Club Mixer was held on Sunday, February 24th. Despite the cold temperatures that started the day, fun was had by all. Thanks so much to Sue Berry and her team for getting this all organized on short notice. Click Here to see pictures of the court fun and the lunch that followed.
The ANNUAL CLUB WINDUP SOCIAL was held in Regal Hall, on March 1st and the Back to the Beach Theme seemed to be very popular, as was the music provided by Kort. A big Thank you goes out to Ethel Freeman and her amazing team, who pulled this together on such notice.
